Watching the Republican debate at the Reagan Memorial Library I am absolutely dumbfounded. Here we have three highly-educated officials ( I still consider Ron Paul a libertarian) with multiple years of government experience and none of them seem to know anything about economics. What is the federal deficit up to now? How many trillion? Yet we are somehow going to solve our nation's economical problems with tax cuts. Nobody is speaking of cutting spending. I want a fat check just as much as the next guy, but what is it going to cost us in the future when our government is already so dependant on foreign investors. Our government can no longer fund itself and now we want to build a fortified fence, deport millions of illegals, keep American troops in an escalating war, and give a tax break at the same time.

What is the deal with Republicans
The Republicans are not the only "leaders" failing to address the country's financial crisis. If HRC makes good on all of her promises to fund all of the giveaways she's promoting our financial crisis will only worsen. Like you I would like to have a nice fat check but would rather have someone running our country with some fiscal responsibility. We need a leader who is not afraid to take on the health care industry and bring medical costs down to a manageable level. We need to control spending. Our congress needs to give our president line item veto authority over spending bills. We must require Iraq take a bigger role, both physically and financially, in dealing with the insurgency. Give me a candidate that will add these planks to his/her platform and he/she will get my vote.
