Abortion Rights

Abortion Rights

Abortion is such a hot topic that many refer to it as the “one-issue” factor; meaning many people will vote for or against a candidate simply based on where they stand on the issue. The well-known Supreme Court case – Roe v. Wade – essentially legalized abortions throughout the country. Pro-Choice advocates favor the right of a woman to choose whether or not to have an abortion. Pro-Life advocates believe life begins at conception and push to have Roe v. Wade overturned. But yet even others say abortion should be allowed, but only in instances of rape, incest, or to save the life of the mother.

Legalize reducing liberals!

Of course, babies are innocent and should never be targeted for assasination.

Liberals endorse aborting innocent life and the rest of the world opposes murder,

We should be compassionate and allow liberals to abort a victim of their twisted life.

Even if we don't allow abortions, liberals will find ways of killing their offspring. Others will continue to accept the announcment and bring the child into a world of love.

It is a high price to pay, but liberals should be allowed to abort their spawn.

I feel bad for the innocents, but their doomed life in a liberal household would save them from a liviehood of victimization.

I don't know if you're to be taken seriously or not,

but all that rhetoric and the us vs. them mentality you're spewing makes your point irrelevant, that is you even had one.

Abortion

This should be the guiding principle: "You shall not kill" (murder). What part of this do we not understand? Science has proven what mankind has always known --- that individual life exists in the womb. Life is precious. A civilized society recognizes and protects the sanctity of life. This is part of our government's obligation, too, athough our Supreme Court has failed in this regard.

Another thought to keep in mind: The reproductive act (even cloning) does not create new life; it only perpetuates existing life. It creates new individuals from existing life, but does not create new life. Life is created by God.

I'd put more focus on the

I'd put more focus on the fact that it's illegal to kill, as opposed to the commandment.

However, I completely agree that society should promote sanctity of life and dealing with the consequences of your actions, as opposed to what's in place now, "do as you please, if you get knocked up, have an abortion." I strongly feel that the high abortion numbers are a problem of SOCIETY, not the government. Kids are being taught all the wrong things about sex, whether that be you're entitled to do what you want with your body or that abstinence is the only way to protect yourself. I don't think it's a government issue, because legislation will not change anything. Educate, educate, educate. The only thing i feel that should be legal is partial-birth aboritons.

Abortion should be a big non-issue

The issue of abortion is one of those topics that is a futile waste of time in argument. If humans practiced abstinence or used contraception, this debate would not exist. But the fact of the matter is, a human drive is to have sex in order to procreate. People are going to do it, and women are going to get pregnant, and there will be abortions, whether we like it or not, whether it is illegal or not.

It's true, but it's still

It's true, but it's still not that clear cut of an issue, the fact that it's still widely an issue after 35 years proves this. I don't care about the laws, like I said, but personal responsibility and reverance for life should be more important in society. And sex being a 'natural human drive' is hardly a good excuse for abortion.

"I have always believed in a woman's right to choose. It is a decision that should be safe, legal, rare and - above all - between a woman and her doctor," Dodd said in a statement to NARAL Pro-Choice America

Favors abortion rights

In a statement to NARAL Pro-Choice America, Edwards said, "A woman's decision about whether to become a parent is one of the most important life decisions that she can face. She should be able to make it with her family, her doctor, and consistent with her religious and moral values. Government and politicians should not make it for her."

Favors abortion rights, although previously opposed them.
"The most personal, and often the most difficult decision a woman can make is the decision to terminate her pregnancy. Though not an easy choice, it is a legally guaranteed and protected one. And it should remain so,"he said in a statement to NARAL Pro-Choice America. That organization ranked his position on Pro-Choice as 100 percent from 2003 to 2006; 25 percent in 2002 and 0 percent in 2001.
